Next time you get into your pajamas, turn on the stereo and get ready for bed, leave that novel on the side table, lay back and listen to the music by itself. Or, if you're thinking of going for a jog, put on your phones, head to the nearest tree, sit down and relax. You don't have to make tracks to listen to your tracks. Although music provides a great backdrop to a host of activities throughout the day, to get the most of the art form,  you need to give it your full attention.

Science tells us that the ability to multi-task is a myth. When attempting to do two things at the same time, we have no choice but to toggle our attention back and forth between the two activities. So when you're listening to music while reading a book, for a good deal of time you're not actually listening to the music at all.

Hear Mr. Militello's entertaining stories about his life during his forty year career as a performer and let Don lead you on how to reconnect with the music you love. The program will feature Mr. Militello  (alum of the Glen Miller Band and the Irene Reid Quartet) on the Steinway Grand playing a mix of jazz standards and original music. All ages welcome!!!
